9/11/09 Fitness Class

Today was my first official class. Wow this machine is amazing. I started sweating on my first exercise. By the end of my first set, I was regretting all the junk I’ve carelessly been eating for years. Great class though, I’m looking forward to my new approach on getting fit. The trainers are also very helpful. Kate and Chris know so much about nutrition. It definitely helps to have someone helping you to make good food choices.

Well the class today was intense. The squats kicked my butt! My legs are numb. But you know what they say, “No pain no gain”. The good news?? I already see a difference. All the hard work and pain is paying off. Even my mom said something, which is definitely good. I’ve also noticed that I don’t crave junk food as much anymore. The truth is, that while I may enjoy it for a second, I will pay for that second so hard, that it’s not even worth it. The occasional “treat” is ok, but don’t go overboard!
9/30/09 Fitness Class

Even though today was my day off this week, I was exited to come to class. My legs were still very sore but the class was once again awesome. I love how motivated I am to workout. It must be Chris and Kate that make the classes so fun and worth coming to. It helps to have someone lead a fitness class where you know you are getting a full body workout. I work out muscles that I never even heard of!! Another plus for me besides feeling great and energized is that I don’t get migraines as much anymore. I used to get them everyday and was even sometimes rushed to the ER because they were so painful. I’ve also had trigger point injections in my head and that never fixed my problem. I’m very happy to say that for the month of September I just had 2!! It just goes to show you that with a positive attitude and trainers who know what they’re doing, you could start feeling like your self again.
10/8/09 Fitness Class

Today was yet again a wonderful class. Once the class started I was energized and felt great for the rest of the day. I noticed that I don’t struggle as much as I used to with some of the exercises. I’m about halfway done with the kinesis and I’m already planning to do it all over again. I have to admit that the hardest part for me was the food. At the beginning I couldn’t even think of not having my routine Coke in the morning. Cutting out all the things I’ve been used to eating for years like soda, Gatorade, mayo, even ketchup was just the beginning of my challenge. I enjoy my food now that I know what is good for me vs. don’t even think about it. Substituting small items on your diet will make all the difference.
10/16/09 Fitness Class

The beginning of this week was a little hard for me. I was starting to feel discouraged and impatient. I love the classes and I can see myself doing this for a long time, but it was just one of those days. After one of my classes Kate wanted to weigh me, I forcefully agreed and headed towards the scale, scared of what it would reveal. That was until I saw the numbers. I have lost double what I had lost the last time I weighed my self! I was amazed. I had a permanent smile on my face for the rest of the day. That was my sign not to give up. All my hard work and days of struggle not to eat junk are paying off.

10/23/09 Fitness Class

Today was my last class for the Kinesis. I was exited to get my results but even more exited to read them. Even though I saw the changes on my body, it was so shocking to actually see the results number by number. Wow!! I can’t believe that with 18 sessions, 3 times a week for 1 hour each time, I lost 6.05% of body fat! I’m definitely ready to do this again. I love this program.
